This Rental Policy outlines the terms, conditions, rights, and responsibilities pertaining to renting items from Sixth Sense. By booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and consent to the terms below.
Booking Requirements
All rentals must be booked through:Shopify, direct invoice, or written confirmation via email/DM (no verbal holds). Items are not reserved until full payment is received.
Security Deposit
At this time, security deposits are not required, but the renter acknowledges that they are fully financially responsible for any damage, loss, staining, theft, late return fees, or replacement costs associated with the item(s).
If an item is returned in a condition that requires repair, replacement, or specialized cleaning, the renter will be invoiced for the full amount due, and payment must be made within 24 hours of receiving the invoice.
Failure to pay may result in:
suspension of future rental privileges,
the booking of no future services
possible third-party collections if unresolved.
Late Returns
Late returns are charged at 25% of the rental fee per day, depending on item category.
Items returned more than 72 hours late without communication will be considered lost, triggering full replacement fees.
Pick Up
A government-issued ID may be required at pickup.
Return Requirements
All packaging, garment bags, hangers, boxes, tags, and accessories must be returned.
Condition of Items
Any existing wear will be noted to avoid disputes during return inspection.
Items must be returned in the same condition as received, specifically:
No holes, tears, broken closures, missing buttons.
No stains (makeup, deodorant, oil, water, dirt, outdoor residues).
No odors (smoke, perfume, sweat, food, pets).
No alterations of any kind (hemming, cutting, pinning that leaves marks, taping, painting, stretching).
Cleaning
Do not attempt to wash or dry-clean items.
Cleaning fees (if item requires special treatment after return):
Minor cleaning: $10–$25
Deep/odor removal cleaning: $35–$80
Specialty fabrics (leather, silk, archival pieces): billed at cost.
Damage Assessment
Any of the following qualify as damage:
Rips, spills, stains, discolorations
Heat damage, water damage, stretching
Missing pieces, hardware, or embellishments
Broken zippers, snaps, hooks, closures
Makeup or tanning stains on fabrics
Any alteration to the original design or construction
All damage fees are billed at the full repair or replacement cost, determined by:
Retail value
Current market value (for vintage/archival items)
Rarity or sourcing difficulty
If an item is beyond repair, renter is charged the full retail or appraised replacement value.
Replacement value may exceed original retail price for rare, vintage, or discontinued items.
Renter Liability
The renter is fully responsible for:
Safe handling
Clean transport
Preventing damage
Keeping items away from risk (weather, pets, smoke, liquids)
Supervising items at all times
Agreement & Acceptance
By completing a booking or rental transaction, the renter confirms:
Full understanding of this policy
Responsibility for the rented items
Agreement to all fees for damage, loss, late return, or breach of policy
